i bought a pair of Frogglegs but they didn't come with the straddle cable. It has the dohickey that goes into the one side of the brake but do I need a special straddle able or will a mtb brake cable work?

i bought a pair of Frogglegs but they didn't come with the straddle cable. It has the dohickey that goes into the one side of the brake but do I need a special straddle able or will a mtb brake cable work?I just use regulare MTB cables on my Pauls.

Looks like MTB cables will work just fine. The only reason to get a specific straddle wire is to have a knob to make it easier to open the brakes. Nothing really to go out of your way for.
