HI,
Anybody out there know what the pressure rating is for the Mavic MA3 32 hole rims? I want to run some higher presure tires but can't find any info online.
Thanks,

is 120# or 8 bar. Mavic used to publish that data on its website, but I see it's now gone (as is the MA3).
I have a set I run with 28mm tires so that limit is not a constraint for me. I also believe it was the same (or close) to the recommended limit for the Open Pro (also not published on Mavic's site.)
That limit always seemed artificial to me. I just can't imagine a tire being strong enough to deform a rim as the pressure increased.
Perhaps someone has a better memory (or archive) than I....

Thanks KT,
Sounds about right to me. I will keep it under 120. I know that the MA3 is a rim of the past but I like them just fine and so far have not had any issues. Very similar to the Open Pro I think.
Take care.
Page 35. (http://www.tech-mavic.com/tech-mavic/technical_manual/data/docs/themes/2_8.pdf) The MA3 model is still listed in the manual, so the chart should be applicable.

It's been replaced by the nearly identical Open Sport. A good sturdy everyday rim, but heavier than the Open Pro, with single eyelets instead of double -- at about half the price.
