View Full Version : Look Pedal Models....
spepic 03-24-2008, 04:47 AM Thanks for all the replies regrading the pedals. I think I have to keep looking in ebay. The bike would look better blue or white pedals. Keo pedals aren't an option w/three other bikes with looks.
I still have a month or so before I get the new orbea ora anyway.
Can anyone recommend which look pedals models to keep an eye open for? There seems to be a tons of different models, not sure which came first the Ax.x models or the number models....
uzziefly 03-24-2008, 05:02 AM Why aren't Keo pedals an option just coz other bikes have em? That way, you can stick with the same shoes.

Agreed. You won't even have to buy cleats, because they come with the pedals. You can get the Keos in black, which pretty much goes with everything, and at the very least is the most unoticable of colors.
cdhbrad 03-24-2008, 06:56 AM In a prior thread, I think the OP said he has several bikes with Look pedals using Delta cleats so he prefers to use a Look model that has that cleat pattern instead of the Keo using the smaller cleat. I don't blame him... I just made the switch from the older pedal to Keos on three of my bikes and it wasn't cheap. I do think the Keos are better than even the best of the delta cleat models.
To answer OP question about the Look model numbers, etc. I think that the A series, like the A 5.1 were the latest models to use the Deltas. Before that, they had gotten up to the PP 396. There were also the CX-6 and CX-7 models that had carbon bodies and adjustable Q factor. You might find some 396s in blue, but I'm not sure. When I made the Switch to Keos, I was using either A 5.1s or CX- 6 on all my bikes.
I have an Ora in Black/White that I used A 5.1s on, but now use Keos. Its a great bike.

I will end up having three bikes and a spin bike with look pedals. An older rain/beater bike, a good group ride road bike, and a new triathlon bike. Also have three pairs of sidi's shoes. Road ones, tri ones, and the old winter ones.
Not willing to buy 4 sets of keo pedals and replace all those cleats. Its nice not having to think of which shoe with which bike....
Only problem now is using a discontinued pedal :-(
Mr. Versatile 03-24-2008, 06:45 PM I think that delta pedals are going to be even harder to find in the future. It's not my problem, but if it was I think about biting the bullet. Sooner or later, you'll have to.

I have 3 bikes with old/Delta Looks - I stuck with them to avoid the issue of having to have multiple shoes or update all the bikes at once. Once Look went to the Keo design there was a time you could get them quite cheap, but perhaps now stocks are depleted. I think you;ll still see Delta Looks on the road for a while; there are a lot out there.
dhtucker4 03-27-2008, 01:38 PM Look must have sold over a million pairs of their pedals over the years - Delta cleats are going to be sold for at least 8-10 years (Delta cleats fit every Look pedal that I have seen - not the Keo).
I like the Look pedals with the different degrees of float, such as the PP 396, the A5.1, and the CX 6 (also the CX 6 Ti),
