It's very funny that you write that. Because just the other day, I found myself rooting for the Ol' Gal. Simply because I want to see a serious disaster in Denver. Not necessarily because of any animosity towards the Dems. or even because it will help the pubs in the general, although there is that component to it.

It's just that I like a good trainwreck from time to time. It's going to be something to see.

I don't understand what she thought this lie would get her in the first place? It was so unnecessary. I heard some pundit say something like this about the Clintons yesterday.

I was half awake when I heard it, so I'm probably butchering the line. "the Clintons tell big lies about the small things and tell small lies unecessarily."

I find this lie to be the most offensive so far.

I heard a great Ronald Reagan story at lunch apropos the latest Clinton debacle. According to my lunch companion, someone was seated next to Ronald Reagan at a dinner while RR was president. The person told Reagan that he remembered seeing Reagan in the 1930s or 1940s during the filming of a movie that was set in the person's hometown. Reagan laughed and said: "You are mistaken, that movie was filmed on the backlot in Hollywood." The person became embarassed and was sputtering an apology to Reagan. Reagan replied: "Don't be sorry. I understand. You wanted to believe that it was true and so to you it is true. That's OK."

As I said in some other post somewhere, I appreciate how active she was as First Lady, even if her motivations were to position for her future political career.

And she does seem wicked smart.

Two things I didn't think I needed to value as much before George and Laura came on the scene, i.e. I figured anyone in the position of president and first lady would be smart and active, respectively.

Just the same, keep your eye out for the letter next to the name thing when you read the paper. All libs miss it because they aren't sensitive to how everything in the mainstream media is biased againt normal people.
