Hello,
Dunno if this should be under wheels and tires or in here but let's try it out.

I have Bontrager race x lite wheels that are about 4-5 years old. During the winter freewheel has almost sized up. It will engage when pedaled but it has huge drag when freewheeling. Pedaling backwards is almost impossible. I'm wondering if I should service myself or let the LBS do the honors.
I was unable to find servicing manual for the hubs (bontrager homepage has no mauals for hubs nor wheels except some carbon wheels) and google didn't help me much either.
So does anybody have bontrager race x lite wheels servicing manual so that I could see, what I'm dealing with?

Best regards,
Tõnis

You mean freehub.
I know quite a few people that have had problems with Bonty hubs. There is a spacer that can get screwed up. Best not to mess around with it yourself. All of the people who have had problems, have had the wheels nicely fixed at our shop.

Thanx for the info.
I would come to your shop if I could but instead I have to take it to a local shop that will fix it for me.
I will keep my fingers away from this hub even tho they kind of want to do it anyway.
