I got a flyer in the mail about the ride. I’m for sure interested (in the longest distance leg of the ride possible) but I fear that in the economically-repressed times it’d be difficult to get the cheap bastards I know to help me raise $250.00. Any sure-fire ideas? I’ve never done any sort of fundraising stuff before, do people actually pony up with cash? I wonder if I should get in touch with some of my old HP coworkers and see if they’re on a team…

The good news about the Tour de Cure is that they only have a $150 minimum and a $25 registration fee. I was surprised how easy it was to raise the money. I sent it out to my address book and most of the people gave $50 or more. I had enough in less than 24 hours.

You can do it...! Just register and let the cards fall as they will. :)

I'm going to do this one. Times out perfectly, and the 120K ride looks beautiful. A good cause, to boot.
