The weather was cold, the wind was blowing, the light was grey and flat, and I was sick. . .no better time to ride. Actually, I just had to get out and go for some reason. I started out pretty late and the weather was going downhill in a hurry, but I had my DSLR and a couple of hours of light so I thought I might as well give it a go. It's about 15 miles to town from my house so I had to move my tail pretty quickly and still managed to get caught out after dark without a headlight. Thankfully I had my tail light and rode by brail back to my house. Anyway, I had never shot in RAW format before so I thought I'd give it a try. So, you all are my guinea pigs for this post.
Just some random shots from places around Reno.

Now, if I could just figure out how to use the histogram and RGB editing stuff I'll be set. I think I'd better learn to play with my photo software a little better. But, at least it's fun to play with.

You photo-graffical types amaze me. It almost starts to pizz me off that I can't do that too. That's some great schtuff, right there.

The third picture is my favorite. Good stuff.
I never bother with RAW.
Riding is never a bother.
Nice pic.

Are we looking at the Trukee River on some of those shots Ridgetop?
God, Reno sure has changed.
I was in Dyer Sunday, it sure was nice with the clouds on and off.

Looks like your bike is just looking for a reason to jump in the river.

Yep, the Truckee. Reno has grown like crazy and the downtown area is kind of a mess IMO (not that it was ever that wonderful). Lots of condos and stuff replacing the casinos.

I dig the building with the plaster falling off. Sweet shot.
Looks mellow. How big is Reno and what are the winters like?

Winters give us about 3 months of pretty cold and crappy weather. The wind is the biggest issue. Reno is about 350,000 if you include all the suburbia sprawling out in all directions. It's not too big overall.
