Anyone know if a 2008 Cannondale Hollowgram BB30 SL crankset is a direct replacement for a 2006 Carbon SI crankset?

I've got a 2006 Synapse Carbon 2 w/ the stock OEM'd-by-FSA Carbon SI compact crankset. In addition to the fact that I want to upgrade to a 53/39, I've had nothing but trouble with this POS Carbon SI crankset (it's been replaced twice in less than two years).

Conversely I've heard nothing but excellent things about the current Hollowgram SI cranksets -- well, besides a long wait from order to receipt. But I don't want to have to jury rig a bottom bracket adaptor or some other such kluge, would prefer to just remove the old Carbon crankset (and bottom bracket if necessary) and pop in the new Hollowgram SL parts. I think my bike uses the same BB30 bottom bracket size/spec, but obviously I'm not positive.

Am I SOL or can I whip out the Visa card?

if you have the 3 piece carbon Si Crankset, you actually onl need the spider and arms. you can reuse the bearings and spindle, though the SL bearingsare better. My Carbon Si crank has been trying to shear off it's metal bracket - I'm getting mine replaced under warranty and am opting to trade up to the Hollogram SL
