Does anyone know the status of tunnel road in terms of closures?

I get off school early tomorrow and want to do intervals up tunnel but don't know whether or not its closed in the early afternoon.

If it's part of the highway system (is it part of SR 13?) then you should be able to find out by calling 1-800-427-ROAD. That's an automated 24 hour number.

The sign says it's closed from the 8th-18th. Does that mean we just have to take that LOVELY detour? I'd really like to know though, it's the best climb ever but have avoided it since the 8th.

my plans changed and i ended up going up it in the evening. It was wide open.

I'm not sure where they are doing the new construction as they fixed the slide with new pavement and there's no equipment by the pipe leak (near the bottom) which is also newly painted yellow lines
