My friend is just finishing up his year abroad in Japan and asked if I would like him to bring something back for me. :D

Of course a 58cm keirin frame would be out of the question (and admiring his bike upon return will be enough envy for a while).

I immediately jump to cranks, some sugino 75s that I never mustered up the money for stateside, or maybe even something different. sexy seatpost?

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Frank

Sugino 75's or Dura Ace 7600 cranks...Hatta Swan BB and or headset...Nitto stem, bars, seatpost.... The possibilities are endless

many components can be had stateside... how about a jersey from a continental/local team? bonus is it should pack small

A local jersey would be my first choice too.

+1 to the jersey but there's also some used parts to be had. You could go for the 75s but if there are a pair of Grand Mights kicking around it'd be hard to turn them down.

I like the local jersey, but if you ride a 58cm frame it would have to be a Japanese XXL. Tell him to surprise you. Even with globalization there have to be bike things in Japan you don't see around here.
