We've had an abnormally cold spring this year in southeast Idaho. I've put 500 miles on so far this year and it's all been in temperatures between 30-40 degrees. Then yesterday it hits 70 degrees. What joy! What bliss! A ride where something on me wasn't freezing! So what do I do? Climb the biggest local climb back up to the snow line! It was nice though. I had a little 145 lb rabbit to chase up the hill and the winter spinning seems to have helped. I was averaging about a mile an hour faster up the hill than where I left off last season. It was a 32 mile ride with a 17.75 mph average with about 40 minutes of climbing at around 7mph so I'm pretty stoked!

Except it's supposed to be back to the 40's for the rest of the week with snow and rain! :mad2:

I often think about moving to that area of the west, but the winters keep me away.

I live in the Southern CA. desert, and already temps are nearing triple digits. Different problem, I guess.

I feel your pain. We were up around 95° today. Maybe the local climate is gearing up to smash our 2 year old 37 days in a row over 100° record. Temp at rider height on my ride today was 104°.

That's why Nicholai Tesla invented SPF 30 sunblock.
