What kind of gearing do you have on your hakalugi?? Double, Triple, Compact with a 12-??. I would like to do Monitor Pass this year, or even better, Tioga Pass from the Eastern Side

Just from the bottom to the top and back..... ~8 miles, ~2500' up..... max speed 46.7 MPH comin' down... YEE HAAAWWWW !!!!!

Still early in the year..... my typical run starts from "downtown" Markleeville to the top and back.... ~ 26 miles in a couple of hours.... when it's time to get serious I add either the back of Monitor or Ebbetts.... (Ebbetts typically isn't ridable for a few more weeks)...

You had to ask..... triple, 11-34.... set up for spinnin' w/165mm cranks..... I typically ride the 'Lugi in the spring.... thru the Tour of the Unknown Coast.... then switch over to the "road bikes"... a mix of traditional doubles, compacts and triples....170mm-172.5mm cranks.... not much flat around here.... lots of 7000' - 8000'+ passes......
