Went and tried the downhill time trial I brought up a week or so ago. It was lots of fun -- 8.5 miles, drop 2400 feet, in 11 minutes 25 seconds, averaging 45.5 mph, with peak speed at 52.5 mph. Details, including graphs of SRM data, here:

Plan to hold an event doing this some time in May. Notably, it did not feel the slightest bit dangerous on this road. Suggestions are welcome.

Looks like fun.. is 11 minutes enough time to differentiate winners?

You will be eaten by the 56 tooth

Have one of these on order: http://www.mdt-products.co.uk/products/274_lunatrack/index.htm -- in 67 teeth. Not sure how I'm going to get it on the bike, but always looking for a challenge. ;-)
