Specialized Elite Crossroads Just bought it saturday for My wife! Couldn't talk her into a full on road bike. But it's a nice cross with 700 tires. Hers is a lovely dark green, and she loves the leather comfort seat. It's her birthday gift about 2 months early. her B-day is in june, but she's leaving for Russia for 6 weeks 5 days after her B-day so I talked her into getting it early. It's her first real bike all the others being K-Mart special hand me downs. Sorry If this seems Like bragging but I'm just terribly excited as I think with a decent bike she'll enjoy our bike trips more.. Next step? talking her into the erie canal bike ride next summer!

My wife's first bike was a 2002 Crossroads A1. Last spring, and all on her own, she bought a mint 2002 Trek 1000 off the grocery store bulliten board. This Christmas, she cabbaged onto my 2005 Specialized Roubaix Elite when I added my Comp.

Watch out?!? I could only dream she'd get that Involved! She hated the idea of me getting a mtn bike when I bought it, saying "if you get hurt don't expect me to pick up your broken carcass" or something to that extent.. I see this as a baby step towards her Both road and MTN biking with me. Get her started on this and hope the bug bites!
