Does anyone know what he did to get DSQ'ed?

Taking his hands off the bars while cresting each climb?

I saw that too. I've been surfing looking for the answer. My guess is that he got a push up the last climb, which if you accept it too long, they'll DQ you.

From Doug Ollerenshaw's web site:

"Earlier in the race, his teammate (Mike Creed) was disqualified for receiving a little nudge to catch back onto the field."

According to one of his buddies from Slipstream, he was having severe back spasms and pulled a Toyota United move from stage 5 that got over looked on Friday, but not on Saturday. Pretty selective enforcement considering the length of tows that happened on Friday to get certain sprinters back within the time cut according to Danny Pate.
Creed just happened to be in the wrong place when the offical decided to set an example.

He was probably just acting like himself.

It's sort of like in hockey. The first person doesn't get a 5 minute major normally for initiating something, it's normally the 2nd guy who gets tossed. Same thing probably happened here. Toyota United might have been doing it one day, it gets reported, the officials are looking for it, and bammo! Creed, wrong place, wrong time.

Don't know him, but have read things he's written in the past, have raced against him on a number of instances, and can't say, I'm impressed at all. He comes across as too big for his britches, and acts like a little punk that really can't back up his attitude (hence why he's bounced from team to team for years on end).

That's just my opinion. Hey, he might be a great guy, but not from what I've seen.

Bear in mind, I'm kind of a dick myself.

Raced against him, but don't him. Acts like a punk, but never talked to him...

That's life, get used to it. Sometimes you have to make a judgement call based on whatever evidence you have.
