I just got some pics of my unpainted fillet brazed cross frame from the builder. To be honest it will probably be a while until I end up building up the whole bike due to financial details but I'm still very psyched about the progress being made on this front:

<img src="http://www.subchaos.com/bike/cross/curtlo/unpainted_whole_frame.jpg" width="640" height="480">

<img src="http://www.subchaos.com/bike/cross/curtlo/unpainted_head_tube.jpg" width="640" height="480">

<img src="http://www.subchaos.com/bike/cross/curtlo/unpainted_seat_cluster.jpg" width="640" height="480">

It's going to be an exercise in delayed gratification to get this thing in my hands and then wait to build it up... :-) If you're interested, it's a custom fillet brazed curtlo made of True Temper OX Platinum. Some of the geometry info (http://www.subchaos.com/bike/cross/curtlo/my_curtlo_stage1.jpg) is available as well as larger versions of the images (http://www.subchaos.com/bike/cross/curtlo/large/). I know nobody's as excited as I am but hey, maybe this will give you something to look at instead of your work ;-)

sweet, have him sand a tad to give texture and then throw a couple coats of clear-pearl laquer on it. show off that brazing! nice rig.

Nice. Throw a clear powder coat on that baby. I rode a bike in all weather for years with a clear powder coat and had no problems.

I was considering something similar to what you and atpjunkie are suggesting. i like the raw look of materials and brazed steel is not too bad looking really. i decided to go with a funky powdercoat color called cocoa suprise. kind of a brown/red/orange thing. we'll see what it looks like on the bike!

I've thinking about a Curtlo for a few years now. One of these days ...
