Hi,
Shimano offers an ultegra shifter/lever with a shortened reach on some WSD road bikes. It looks like they just use a plug to prevent the lever from moving all the way out when released. Does anybody know if new regular ultegra brakes can be converted to the short reach?
Thanks.

I'm sure that can be done but I've never done it, others have. My wife likes her Ultegra R600 shifters on her 5200 WSD.

Thanks.Easy enough to make your own shim and stick it on with double sticky tape.

I have heard that neat little shims made by Shimano exist for Ultegra levers, but I have been unable to find them. If you find a source, please post.
I use the little rubber feet that go on the bottom of electronic gear to stick between the lever and the body.
