Anyone here ever use one. I just picked one up off ebay for a good price and couldn't pass up on. I've had luck with the regular saddles and have always wanted to try the carbon version. Was hoping someone here may have tried one recently. Thanks in advance!
It's basically a fancy version of the SLR with an area in the back that shows the carbon from the shell through. The rails are carbon as well and the leather is matte instead of shiny. It definitively looks a little more upscale and goes well with a carbon equipped bike. As far as comfort, it feels like the SLR. Maybe the carbon rails dampen out the road a little better but then again that may just be in my head.
BTW, I bought several of these a few weeks back and currently have one on sale on EBAY for less than $100 new.

There's no padding- weighs next to nothing and I wished you had one for $100.00.

Except for the Ti rails. ;)
Looks nice. Slippery too. Post a review when you get some miles on it.

I've been riding an AX Lightness all carbon saddle for over 6 months now, and find it quite comfortable. But maybe that's because after 24 years, my axx is the same shape as the saddle! The AX happens to have a similar shape to the Concor which I rode up until this year. The SLR is shaped differently, but it all depends on which parts of the saddle you contact. The polished carbon is not particularly slippery, and it flexes quite a lot, so it feels a lot more supple than it appears when you just push your hand onto it. Remember, a saddle is like a chair--it has to be supportive, but comfortable--a tradeoff leading to a compromise at best.
I think you'll enjoy the saddle, especially if you paid less than retail for it!

O.k.
the first poster was talking about the real SLR Carbon which is no longer in production. the first version was shiny later it was also produced with a matte finish. The saddle itself is not too bad but it's got a reputation on braking and a problem is the saddle getting three white pressure marks on top (cracks in the finish). after a few miles and there where the rails are attached to the deck.
Believe the currunt model is the C64 which is amazingly light.
the second poster is talking about the Slr carbonio which is nothing more than a plain rip off. it's a standard slr with a rubber carbon look alike piece sewed in a the back. Believe the fake carbon rails are only part of the flite carbonio (the SLR still has titanium rails) but doesn't lower the weight by a gramm.
Finally the AX saddles are quite good (like them a lot, got an endurance) but you need at least a good assos inlay to make them usable. However AX saddles got a bad reputation on breaking (at least in Europe).
