Pat is getting married in June. His stag was in Norfolk on 10-11 May. We all trained up from King's Cross in London to King's Lynn in Norfolk. We headed out to the Norfolk Coast Cycling Path. This route is short part of the North Sea Cycle Route:

The six of us stayed in an 8 person bunk room at a hostel in Deepdale: http://www.deepdalefarm.co.uk/

The place was great and perfect for touring cyclists (locking barn for bicycles). Good pubs nearby and good food to be had.

With bad hangovers, on Sat. 10 May we did about 45 miles in total including a pub run to Hoakum after stopping in at the hostel. On Sun. 11 May we did mebbe about 50 miles. As you can see the weather was perfect sunny and warm. It was certainly more wholesome than a weekend in Amsterdam...

we shared out loads between pannier capable bikes

this part of Norfolk isn't exactly hilly but certainly isn't flat

it does have lots of quiet, single lane country roads

I'm glad the original Norfolk has good places to cycle. The new world Norfolk (Virginia) is not that good. Nice pictures, beautiful roads and countryside.

that is Pat - the stag - he put the handlebars like that after he lost feeling in his pinky finger in Sep 2006 during a weeklong trek through Poland and Slovakia - we keep telling him he has trouble with his hands because of his saddle but he insists the saddle is "sweet"... you can lead a horse to water but sometimes you gotta give it salt

Nice to see some pics of my neighbourhood:). I'm in the North Walsham area and there are some hilly bits around Cromer, still not exactly Alpine but they help open up the lungs.
Lots of little country lanes that see little traffic but alot of flint too, which is hell on tyres.

It's pretty nice here.
I'll try and dig up some pics but I'm not the best photographer. I don't often take my camera out when road riding as it's a bit of a lump. I got it for mountainbiking holiday pics and toughness was more important than compactness.
