Two questions:

1) I recently saw a '98 campy chorus derailleur for 100 dollars on eBay. Would I be better off buying an '04 for 175 dollars off let's say Jenson.com than 100 for a '98 (trustworthiness of an eBay seller aside, I buy from eBay all the time). Are the '98 parts just as good as the '04? How much 'worse' are they?

2) Is there a site out there that talks about prior year parts.

Thanks,

Bill

You might consider ordering it from Green Fish Adventure Sports, new for $99. It looks like they may be stocking the ’03 model since it's not carbon in the picture, but that’s still likely to be newer than the eBay item. I’ve noticed this store has been discussed a few times in this forum and is a partner store of this site – probably worth a shot.

Campy Only is an enthusiast site not affiliated with Campagnolo.

Another good "indpendent" source of information is Branfordbike.com
