I've been to St. Louis, 6 or so times, twice after some floods and remember the water being 8' or more deep along the riverwalk concrete wall, seeing debris in the trees afterward, the old section being partially underwater maybe around '93 or' 94. Is it worse now than back then?

Local news says its the same as 93 flood levels. But thats here in KC... here there was more fanfare regarding the fact that our lowly Royals have beaten the birds 2 straight!!!

Its not as bad in St Louis as in '93. A good portion of the riverfront is still underwater, though. North of StL is the bad area.

The difference between this year and '93 is that, back then, both the Mississippi and Missouri rivers were flooding. With StL being just below the junction of the two rivers the effect on StL and the towns south of the city was much greater.

Several of the local routes / rides have been cancelled or re-routed, as the routes go thru the floodplains, or near the rivers.

On the Mississippi, the Riverfront trail that runs north from downtown STL is flooded, and sections of St. Charles floodplain.
