Hey guys,
I'm in a catch 22. I'm debating whether or not to get a full bike (Fuji Cross, 52cm) or build up a cross bike from a used Redline Conquest Pro frame, and transfer my existing parts(Campy Centaur). The 2nd option, of builidng the bike myslef would take a bit longer than normal and may cost a bit more, but would super speced out. THe Fuji would be a 2004, stock bike and in my size and really cheap. As a beggineer, I wanted Campy parts on my road bike, but now I am rethinking as I shouldnt spend a ton and find out I may not like cyclocross. I'm guessing I will go with option two, but hopefully you guys can give me some advice.

and don't like it, all you are stuck with is a frame. you can always re-road the components.
I'd do whichever was cheaper and/or easier.

Build it - then it's really yours.

Hmmm, that would be ideal, but the FUji Cross has pretty good specs no? FSA cranks? Ultegra/105 stuff? I'm jsut not sure how much I should spend, especially since I am starting off. The Fuji would be sub 600.

Building it on my own would be closer to 800 probably.

How are the stock Ritchey wheels on the Fuji?
