The website is now showing the Allez Comp with carbon seatstays on what looks to be a different SLX frame, can't tell if the top tube slenders near the seat tube. The welds look sweet at the transitions, judging by the picture. Anyone see it IRL? I wonder if the wieght will go up by much. The stays have a smaller Zertz insert. I had looked at some Marin bikes before with carbon seatstays but the weight seemed far too heavy for the price, but of course there is the comfort level to take into account. Don't care too much for the current paintjobs, there seem to be some gimmes in the line like straight black or silver, but i'd say some are on the bland side.
