Helping plan a group ride for 10 or so people to ride from I-30 & Beach down to Glen Rose. Don't have loads of time to check routes beforehand. One guy suggested a route out to Benbrook, then down thru Granbury and on to Glen Rose. Another thought is south to Crowley, then out through Cleburne. Any input on best/safest routes?

Just a thought...You can hop on the new extension of the Trinity River Trail there by Beach and backtrack on it all the way down to Benbrook. Not the fastest perhaps, but definitely safe from traffic.

If you can get to Cleburne, then the route used by the Goatneck ride would be of some use to you. It is an exhilirating downhill rollercoaster ride down through the Brazos river valley to Glen Rose. The ride back out from the valley will work you though. Enjoy.

That should be a good 130 +/- mile round trip.
