when does the 2005 record comes out i know the cranks are out but when does the group comes out.

i trying to build a bike and i'm guessing i'm late in the season so yeah if 2005 comes out soon i will just buy that instead of 2004 i was thinking.

I don't think it matters when the new Record comes out because appart from the new CT drivetrain (ie the cranks and derailleur) there is nothing different functionally or visually (except for the silver brakes receiving the same logo as the black ones which is a complete waste of money IMHO). I feel therefore there should be no sales on 2004 Record as it is not inferior in any way compared to the 2005. There is nothing new about it, just check out their website and they admit it. Same for Chorus and Centaur (except for the new BB and carbon cranks and bottle cage).

Certainly there's nothing new to get worked up about with Campy's regular groups, except as you said - the compact stuff and don't forget the flat-bar stuff.

Our country's too PC, so it would be wrong of me to comment on the Moaris and Polynesians.
However we still can't get along after all these years, stealing our Campag components, thrusting us with Shimano, with one STI costing 3/5 the cost of a new group (Ultegra STI = $600, group = $1000), so us poor Kiwis are forced to comply to Shimanos price structure and buy the new group. However for those lucky few who don't listen to the BS buy Campag and save $900 in buying just the replacement parts (OK, rant).

When my LBS showed me the catalogue for the '05 Campag he made a sarcastic comment towards Record's new silver brake logo, which I whole-heartedly agree with, something to the lines of "Oh whoopy, new brake logo!"
(BTW, my LBS rocks, giving me great deal on my Fondriest, Chorus build)
