Anybody doing the Riverbank Cheese and Wine Century?

I've done it 3 or 4 times. Nice ride except for the Highway 120 parts (Wide shoulder but 60mph+ taffic). 110 miles. Nice remote back country sections (as in cattle grates and roaming livestock on single lane roads). Decent climbing in the middle of the ride. And a 950' in one mile descent (18%) into the town of Moccasin. Also a Metric and a 25 miler available.

I believe the advertised max elevation is incorrect, however. According to Topo Zone, the ride tops out at about 1900' not 2948' as the ride info suggests. I would guess about 3500' total climbing on the day.

He he, fun ride. Last year there was a bunch of Team In Training riders who were really thrilled to be doing their first century. Not a bad course for the Central Valley.

Last year there was about double the year before. A few years ago, they only had the front parking lot full. I would guess there were 100-150 on the century last year. I think one of the organizers said about 450 overall. Should be even better this year.
