Has anyone shipped a frame or wheels from Australia to the US? What's the cheapest way to do it? How long does it take?

I once had a MTB suspension fork shipped from New Zealand to Canada. I don't know if that'll be any help. It was shipped regular air mail and took around 3 weeks. I think it only cost $15 or so. Whatever you do, don't ship it regular parcel. It'll get sent by boat and won't arrive till sometime next summer. elviento 10-07-2004, 05:19 PM I think the Aussie Postal Service may have a sizing limitation that makes it not feasible. But thanks anyways. I may find a good deal in New Zealand some day. I once had a MTB suspension fork shipped from New Zealand to Canada. I don't know if that'll be any help. Spirito 10-07-2004, 07:24 PM The Max thay will take is 20kg which is OK but their size limit is 105cm length x 140 girth (as in height + width + height + width). A frame with fork out in one box will work, a wheelset and parts in another. http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/int_parcel_type.asp You might try to check with FedEx, UPS and DHL downunder and compare with them. Ain't cheap but it is possible. I flew with mine. ciao |
