their bike yet. I've heard that any bike w/ Dura Ace components won't get their bike til the end of the year or begining of 2005. Is this true? I ordered mine in August and just thought the Bike company was slow getting the bike out. Is this typical pratice?

It's not the bike manufacturers. Every bike shop I've talked to says that Shimano is months behind b/c demand greatly exceeded their supply in 2004, especially for the high end components like Dura Ace.

My friend, who is a Specialized rep, told me the shortage last year was caused by the strong Euro compared to the Yen. More European companies bought shimano groups to place on their bikes cause it was relatively cheap for them to do so. Shimano did not anticipate the demand, thus the shortage.
