When your puppet president starts speaking out against you it isn't good news for Bush.

When your puppet president starts speaking out against you it isn't good news for Bush.

More than 1,100 American soldiers killed, more 8,000 wounded, and counting. Innocent Iraqis dying because our president didn't think this one through. If Dubya really wanted to bring democracy to the Iraqis, he'd have worked with authentic leaders (not Chalabi), put the right number of troops on the ground, secured the borders, not said "bring it on," not say we're fighting them in Iraq so we don't fight them here. He'd have realized from the start that this was not going to be a "cakewalk" and not have sold it to the American people as such. He'd have made the judgement that Iraq is much more like Kosovo and Bosnia than Afghanistan, and known that bringing democracy to this disparate nation would be very tricky.

225 billion borrowed dollars in the hole for this wrong-headed invasion and counting...

Looks like Allawi is due for an "accident". We can always find another figurehead.

He's playing to the home crowd. If he's simply a parrot, there's no way he'll get support from the Iraqi people or manage to win an election.
