Has anyone seen an Orbea Onix in person? Does anyone know pricing info with any of the various configurations?
(NOTE: I am NOT asking for any sort of carved-in-stone type of guarantee that it weighs under 16lbs or anything like that)

Seems smart to look up a local dealer and call them for a price.
A google search brought up this:

I was in my LBS (Frank's Cyclery in Raleigh) a couple of weeks ago and they got their floor bike in built with Ultegra 9.
It looks sweet. It's in my size too, however I have yet to ride it...
The frame only is MSRP 1699 (includes HS and fork). I don't recall the built prices since I am looking at frame only and a parts swap.

I've been drooling over a couple in my LBS (both Ultegra 10, silver). Honestly, more than any bike I've ever seen, they look MUCH better in person than they do in photos. Every time I look online I think "Nah... not worth it". Every time I see it in person it demands to be purchased.
To the original poster, my LBS (Eugene, Oregon) puts the Centaur/Ultegra10 builds at an even $3000. Chorus is $3500. Those come with either American Classics or K.Elites (might be a slight bit more for the Elites, I can't recall).

One of our LBS started carrying Orbea right before Christmas. I rode a 54" Onix w/the AC's that tipped the scale at 16.25 lbs. minus pedals. It was a sweet ride to be sure....but they would not budge off of the $3k price. I ordered a Jamis Xenith Pro for $2,250, should be here any day now! I know several Jamis riders that love their rides, so I am hoping for the best. I could not justify the extra $750 for the Onix, though she is as gorgeous as the day is long!

It's funny. Someone suggested in a post that the Onix will look "dated" in a few years.
I have no idea what the future holds (or I'd have done better with stocks) but I know that when I picked up my Onix this winter, looks were a key consideration. Paint wins out over decals every time.
Most of you have probably seen it, but I posted pix of my Onix along with my impressions of its ride earlier this year.
