Geez this board is dee eee dee dead Holy cow.
Did anyone catch CNN's piece on the TV this morning about how "people in the blue states are feeling blue"? I thought it was so weak!
First, they did no interviews outside of NYC, which, if you're going to represent the upper east coast, the great lakes region and the west coast, you'd think they'd get a few more reporters out there.
Second, they aired this one couple and the guy was saying things like, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I can't believe all those people in red states! They're crazy! I'll be ok to FLY over those states, but I'll never set foot in them!" And then the lone pro-Bush guy they interviewed looked pretty disshevelled., and told the cameras that God told him to vote for Bush.
I thought it was way too narrow of a scope and the interviews that they chose to air were really sensationalist - everyone they interviewed had really dramatic and overbearing views. At least I thought so. You didn't hear any "Those people have the right to voice their opinions..." or "It's unfortunate from my point of view but those people have different values...".
I guess I just expected a little more from CNN. Anyone else on this?
As a side note, I was totally offended and glad when the guy said he'd never visit Colorado (my current state). Let him stay out there and leave our gorgeous roads as empty as possible.
