Does anyone know the correct BB length for mounting an LX crank to a 2004 Kona Jake frame? I have the older splined FC-M571 crank.

The specs for the built-up 2004 Jake are for a 68x113 BB with Elita Cross compact double crank. I'm guessing that the LX crank will require a shorter BB to achieve a good chainline. (For reference purposes, Kona shows the similar 2004 Dr. Dew frame as using a 68x110 BB with TruvativeElita Triple cranks.)

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

For deore lx 571 crankset: 113 mm axle for 47.5 mm chainline, 118 mm axle for 50 mm chainline.
121/126 mm axles for chaincase cranks only.

Thanks for the info. I'll try installing it with the 113mm bb and see how close the rings are to the chainstay. Luckily, all my other bikes take a 113mm bb so no money will be wasted if it needs a shorter bb.
