General Abizaid, commander of U.S. Central Command, warns that Iran should not to assume US forces are stretched too thin to deal with Iran.. "Why the Iranians would want to move against us in an overt manner that would cause us to use our air or naval power against them would be beyond me." To further emphasize that our ground forces are overextended, the good general adds "We can generate more military power per square inch than anybody else on Earth, and everybody knows it," ..... "If you ever even contemplate our nuclear capability, it should give everybody the clear understanding that there is no power that can match the United States militarily."
Umm, what about the Army & Marines, General? Shouldn't Iran worry about them too?
So in case Iran or anyone else was under any delusions, we have aircraft, bombs, missiles & nukes, but not a grunt to spare... Though actually we're running low on cruise missiles, and we won't use nukes, so we have aircraft & bombs. That's it.

Seriously. I bet a million bucks Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld would have no problem at all using nukes.

True. How Panty-waste Libbie presumptuous of me. These are the guys who are pushing for tactical nukes. It would be perfect irony though, using a nuke to destroy another country's nuclear program to make the world safer from nuclear weapons.

Whoever TiJeanKerouac is... I love this guy, because most of the time he writes as if he is on crack. Which looking at some of his other meanderings, he probably is.
I just heard Iran gave up its nuclear capabilities though, not without some debate and or misgivings from them. Or actually, its uranium enrichment programs. So does that mean we still go into Iran to get them as well, because they still have the "pre-cursors" to a nuclear weapons program? Someone should teach our military about over-extending troop deployments and thinning out your forces (Germany on the Eastern and Western fronts anyone in WWII??). It's a losing proposition, at least in manpower and or human life.
I'm pretty sure Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Rove have a plan already in place to turn Iran into glass with nuclear weapons...

The Roman Emporer Valens probably said something similar right before he and his army were completely annihilated at Adrianople in AD 378.
