They'll have plenty of other nominations to seriously gripe about that would make any complaints about Rice insignificant in comparison. Pick your battles.

I will be surprised if a few Dems don't take the opportunity to tee-off on her for being asleep at the wheel pre-9/11 along with her boss and his bosses. Republicans will whine and nash their teeth, claim racism, sexism and their usual crap.
