Campagnolo's 2003 technical pamphlet lists the Q-factor for all doubles at 118. 131 for triple. They do not show a different measurements for alloy and carbon. I am not sure it changed when they went to the new carbon crankset in 2004. I also dont know what the measurement is for compact is, my guess is that it is the same as the standard. AJS 12-03-2004, 04:55 PM Thanks flakey. I had DL'ed the '04 manuals, but didn't see those specs in them. Maybe I need to go over them again. I would think the CT's would be the same too, but you never know because of the different BCD. I'll keep looking. flakey 12-04-2004, 03:22 PM [QUOTE=AJS]Thanks flakey. I had DL'ed the '04 manuals, but didn't see those specs in them. Maybe I need to go over them again. As far as I know, that kind of detailed information is only available in the black and white paper handouts that they give to dealers at tradeshows. I dont think Campagnolo gives those kind of specs in their pdf files. AJS 12-04-2004, 06:57 PM You're right about that. I just looked through all of the .pdf's I have back to the '00 model year and no mention of Q-F. If Campy's doubles are 118mm Q, (I would bet they are just from what I know from my old Record cranks, but I never measured them) you'd think they'd be hawking that all over the place because it's a pretty damned tight Q. e.g., I have an FSA Team Pro Issue double and it's specced at 148. So there's 3 full cm.of difference, and I could tell immediately when I spun those cranks for the first time. I still feel 'splay-footed' sometimes on these FSA's. Even though I saved way bucks on them and they're plenty light & stiff, I'm probably eventually going back to Campy's for no other reason than the narrower Q-F. C-40 01-01-2005, 07:09 AM Something has to be wrong with this information. As far as I know, all double cranks have Q-factors in the 140-150mm range. Road triples are around 160 and MTB triples are about 168. The crank table below is a bit dated, but Qs haven't changed that much. http://www.bikepro.com/products/cranks/crank_table.html |
