I have been selling on eBay for a couple of years now, and I have a100% positive feedback rating, something i am kinda proud of. This is a email from a disgruntled eBay member who won a Chorus TRIPLE BB.

Dear Rouleur,

Hi. The item that I won is the Campi BB. You stated that it is for a triple chain ring. When I got the BB I notice that the lenght of the spindle is 111mm. This is for a Double chain ring, the triple spindle is 113mm, Sure enough I install it and it does not work, the chain ring is hitting the chain stay, I cannot turn the crank at all. So I would like to return this BB to you with a full refund of $38.00 plus the shipping that I am about to spend. And if I can get this matter resolve than I have to give you a very, very negative feed back. Thanks. PS next time you be sure to describe all the necessary info (thread, length and spindle type) not just saying that it is for a triple crank.

Thank you,
ducu123

Well, i it's one thing to be wronged and screwed by someone on ebay. it's happened to me as a buyer and seller. both times it sucked. but to be attacked by someone who doesn't have his facts straight is a different story. i guess mr. ducu123 didn't realize that the 2004 chorus bb's are indeed 111mm NOT 113mm. any peabrain can go on the campy site and see that for themselves...

Give the twit the campy website info , then offer him the option to return without the refund of shipping costs but also charge him the ebay fees.....

hopefully he's reasonable and will swallow his mistake.. if not you both end up with negative feedback.....

I agree with heatstroke, but it sounds like you might have problem anyway. When someone threatens negative feedback in order to get the response they want it usually means trouble. I believe that you can report him for it but wading through Ebays menus to find the correct place can take a while. If he does leave neg. feedback I don't think that it would hurt your ratings at all if you state in your response the facts about the item. Hopefully he will realize his mistake and and do the right thing.

Yeah, I am a little worried. I guess it's the risk you take. Anyways, i think he realized his error when he claims that i am off the hook because "a friend will purchase the bb." My response was measured but mildly harsh. His response was amusing:

Dear roueleur,

I was gona give you a good rating but I think you are not worth a@#$%^

wait till he gives neutral feedback, then give him Negative for being rude.
