Hey everyone, attempting my first circuit race/crit this weekend, health permitting, and was hoping to get specific advice on the LA circuit race. I have read past threads on crit racing in general.

Thanks

Don't take anyone else down. Stay on the back for everyone's sake. Have fun. No need to worry about course particulars.

Wind is onshore and a factor. The accordian is full bore here due to the 180x2 turns. Sprint like a prison escapee at the end if you've got some. Finish is nearly a mile from the last turn and uphill.

6 of my teammates will be out there with ya in the 5s. Like I've mentioned, your first goals should be to relax, get to know what's goin' on, hang on, hopefully finish, with the pack, don't go down, don't take anyone else down, etc.

Survival.

Racin' in SoCal aint like racin' in some other parts. It's seriously competitve.
