Finally got some pic's made. Here is the profile shot and the original frame shot before removing the decals.

Medium frame, 16 ctc or 18 ct-top, 32X19 Gearing. I put the 42 ring back on until I get some chain ring spacers to hold the single ring in place.

As I posted before, I purchased the frame from ebay company ediscountbike.com. mtbreview has some good remarks for the frame as well. If you are interested in building a lightweight alu SS, this is the one. I logged another 40 miles and it rides great on technical single track. Stiff power transfer. Big fun!

Do you think you will need a chain tensioner on it or did everything work out great with the chain and the vertical dropouts?

and the 32X19 has plenty of tension. I placed a used chain on the bike and I don't anticipate much more stretching. A new chain would be even more snug. Since getting the rear cog line up, not a single chain drop in over 60 miles of fire road, trail and back yard use.

The headtube and bb were faced and clean. Everything went together with no problems. The frame does not have disc tabs and the deraileur hanger can not be replaced. So, I would only recommend this frame for SS use only, though not the traditionally sought after steel frame with rigid forks. Those seem to be the popular rides used by the hard core SS'ers.

Fun!

I was eyeing one of these eDiscount frames to build up a Bridgestone XO style moustache bar commuter bike.

Good to know the hideous stickers come off easily.
