I was just wondering. I watched a replay of yesterday's Paris-Nice Stage 3 and it looked like if QuickStep had had a stronger team, he'd have had a real shot at the victory. Of course if Van Bon had been caught, McEwen would surely have contested the sprint. (Boonen easily won the sprint for third).
Thoughts?

I'm sure Boonen had some words in the team bus but there were a multitude of teams trying to reel them in. every squad with a sprinter was taking pulls to catch them (except Lotto Domo as they had the advantage in the break). give some credit to the two who after riding as a pair for 190K were able to hold them off. once they crested the top of the last climb their riding was nails.

Like ATP said, Boonen probably had some words for his teammates as he was way stronger than anyone else who tried to contest the sprint for third, but on a day like stage 3, you can't fault the peloton (too much) for not riding. Seems like it was pretty miserable out there. Hats off to those two guys, that was one incredible ride. Still, the peloton should have caught them.
Bummed today's stage was cancelled, I wanted to seem them boys suffer! :D

would have been a good day for the Belgians. Vandebrouke maybe could have got the race lead. gotta credit those 2 for such a crazy move. Jacky would have been proud.
