I'm getting ready to build up my SS roadbike in January, and am still pedal-less. I'm using some mt. bike clipless on the 'good' road bike right now, but will switch to Ritchey road pedals as soon as I get some road shoes.

I'd like to have another set of road clipless for the SS, along with some platforms. The platforms can stay on for campus use, and I can use them on my mt. bike in the snow.

So I'm looking for some decent quality platforms. I'd like ones that won't tear up my shins, but will grip reasonably well.

Another requirement is that they be easily rebuildable...I hate crappy pedals when the bearings get out of adjustment.

Any help would be great, thanks!

I use the Wellgo LU-939 on my new Langster. They are an excellent deal, really light and seem really well made/ tough. As far as the damage factor (I just had a flashback to the good old days of BMX when a crash meant a nice gash in your calf/shin..) these pedals have quite a bit of grip but the cleats aren't pointed, just well edged so you have plenty of grip without the daggers. You can check them out on the wellgo weppage, they show the black/silver version, I have the all silver version and they look really nice (not too large/ or flashy).

Thanks for the suggestion, but I found some. I posted this on MTBR's SS board too, and a friend on there has some Primo Tenderizers he's selling me. Not the best, but he's giving me a good price, and they look ok.

I also scored a set of Ritchey road pedals on eBay last night identical to the ones on my Jamis, so I'll be able to use my road shoes between the Jamis and Raleigh no problem.

So, I'm all set now, thanks anyway!
