.....but the boss isn't buying it.
I met up with this train this morning. As I was about to cross I noticed a faint light in the distance. I stopped and heard a low roar. Yup, the train was a coming. I had to jump down the hill side and quickly to set up for a few pics.
.... but boss, that was a really, really long train.......

Or, are you just engaging in the railroad version of "share the road?" In any event, that grate looks like it would be treacherous when it is wet. Nice pics, but be careful.
That's a cool post; I like trains myself and work in the Rail industry. It's cool that you were able to take some cool shots with such short notice. That's always how it is... when it's there it's there and when it's gone.. it's sooo gone!
I wish I had a train bridge to cross on my way to work... seeing the train pics only reminds me of a classic favorite movie of mine: Groundhog Day.
"I'm bettin' he's gona' swerve first" - Bill Murry playing chicken with a train.

I don't make these crossings a habit. It could be dangerous and besides, it freaks out the girlfriend.
I took a wrong turn into work this morning and found I needed to cross this one to get headed in the right direction.
Buy the way, I find it much safer to cross between the rails (on the wood) instead of on the slippery steel grate.

I just noticed this post. Great job! Spur of the moment photos when you're in a hurry, kinda nervous are always cool.
