doodling around i found some fixed gear viagra on TS's webpages (thanks bro!!). he has pics taken of bikes from a past Cirque Du Ciclisme (see Classic Rendezvous).

starting with a green Paramount, a german pursuit/funny bike from circa '84 (egerman?),
a wes gadd hottie with a sturmey archer asc hub (yeah, yeah ... but it looks cool), what i believe is Brian Baylis' personal bike and lastly a reproduction all Chrome Masi that Brian Baylis made (he used to work at Masi).

these are benchmarks for style, elegance and beauty. in particular that chrome Masi repro frameset is on top of any bikelust list i have.

ciao

Don't think I've ever seen a stick shift like on the "Wesley Gadd" bike. Strange.

All chrome is always cool, but that matching pump on the light blue bike is better, imo.

Actually, those were quite common Sturmey Archer shifters from maybe 40 years or more ago, in the days before they had bar mounted shifters. Mostly, you would see them on roadsters.

And if you send Brian Baylis a blank check, and wait three years, you too could be riding one of his bikes. And yould probably agree with every other Baylis owner I've met, that it was worth every penny of the (very high) cost, and every day of the (very long) wait.

There is no better framebuilder in the world, and very few who are as good. Brian is an artisan, in every sense, and I've never seen on of his bikes without drooling all over my shirt. He's also one of the best restorers of vintage bike in the business.
