Some, if not all, of their frames are made by Martec in Taiwan.

Made in Tawain imported out of Italy. Nice looking frames! A lot of high end companies still import carbon materials and parts out of the Asain countries.

Ya. I have an Argon 18 (Canadian brand) that designs their own bikes, but the carbon rear end is a Kuota. The whole thing is from Taiwan.

... yepper, Martec out of Taiwan... the same company that does contract work for some of the world's most renown'd players... including Kestrel...

Got a Ksano ('04)... like it... would have no hesitations in recommending the brand even based on my limited experience (Sintema makes world class forks and posts... rumored to at least at one time, to have created 'Nago's Star forks).

road frames start around $2,600? ouch. www.wisecyclebuys.com sells them, and william the owner will pricematch any web price you can find. if you are shopping online for one, he's a decent fella.

i recently found a winter jacket on another site for $80 less than MSRP, practically wholesale. william pricematched it.

An older 200SCi with a "Made in Japan" label; shortlived situation I believe but interesting part of the Kestrel history. I guess Japan was even to expensive? I believe the current Ketrels (EVOKES) are from China now....
