Its amazing that performance ,the BIGGEST etailer in this business, gets stingy with 20% off coupons. I imagine the % of people who use them is very limited when compared to total orders.

Yep, and I'm about to drop some mad cash on them...but only after I get a coupon code. I've been holding out for about 2 months.

Here's an idea. Instead of waiting for Performance to be generous and send out a 20% off code, why don't you list everything (or at least the big items) you want to buy and ask for help finding the lowest prices. You might be able to save 20% w/o the benevolent charity of Performance.

For me it encouraged me to buy from Performance. I dropped a grand over two orders on miscellaneous stuff I probably didn't really need last Fall because of the 20% off codes posted here.

For me, jxl, it's all about the dollar, man. Believe me, I fully intend to find the items I want at the lowest price possible, even if it's not from Performance. But in the end, I will still order them all from Performance. Why, you say? Because Performance price matches. Then take an additional 20% off of the already low prices with the coupon, and you've done well, my son, very well.

i was told by a performance employee that they will no longer be offering online coupons BUT i'm not sure if i'd go by his word

i just called performance because i misplaced my team perf. number, and i asked about any coupon codes coming out. the lady said that she wasn't aware of any. she said there was a code "out there", but that it's not theirs.

If only Performance would price match the cost of shipping an item. The shipping costs are so inflated, I feel like I'm buying on ebay.
Oh yeah, and they charge me state sales tax on top of it because they have a small store 20 miles away. (Incentive to have me shop the store? I'm lucky to find what I'm looking for there.)
It all adds up. A 20% online coupon is the only thing that would make Performance worthwhile, in my opinion.

my understanding from this forum several months ago was that performance would no longer do the 20% off coupon codes.

If Performance has what you want, chances are their sister store Nashbar has it, too. Nashbar 10% code is CR199 good through Feb 21 05

yeah, but i'm a big fan of the Team points deal. the next best thing to Perf's 20% off coupon is when they do their double points weekend. if no coupon, then i guess i'll hold out till then. i'm looking to drop about $500, so it's well worth the wait.
