Drove down to Bismarck today to look at bikes for the wife. She wanted to try out a steel frame as she has a steel MTNBike and really likes the way it rides. Well, we get down there and at the first shop the guy has nothing that actually fits her, but tells us that every bike is a good fit. We couldn't get away fast enough. At the second shop, we found this used Giant with full 105. looked at it and she rode it and liked it. Then we went to the third shop and again, not a single bike in a size small enough for even me to ride. So back we go to not so LBS #2 to get the giant. Gave $500.00 for it as is and even got a pair of shimano shoes from the blowout table for only $5.00. Gotta love it :) .

I'm envious of you. My wife can't ride any real distances due to medical problems. Watch it she'll be faster then you before you know it.

But she is enthusiastic, and I hope to have her doing 25 mile loops before the end of the summer. :)

You got a great deal. We've been trying to find a bike for the GF for two weeks and finally settled on a like-new Cdale with all Tiagra for $490. It was tough. Once I explained frame material and the Shimano hierachy to her, all she wanted was OCLV with full Ultegra. Sheesh!! Not even in the sport and already a hoopla rider!

Thing is now she has better stuff on her bike than I have on mine. Guess that it is upgrade time for Daddy!
