I am going to Kona at the end of this month with my family. Is there anywhere decent to ride there? Are there any riding paths or roads with bike lanes where one can do 30-50 mile rides without being in a ton of traffic? Are there any bike maps of the island? I am thinking of bringing my bike as I don't want to throw away 2000 miles of base training by taking a week off. But if the roads suck or traffic is crazy on the rides available I will spin in misery on a trainer every day. Thanks.

I own a bike tour company on the island and yes there is plent of riding and plenty of shoulder room. If you cant rent a bike from bike works or B&L bikes i can rent you one of our Allez's or if you want you can go on one of our tours or create a custom tour for yourself......just some suggestion...if you have any questions dont hesitate to email
