My wife is looking for a bike in the $300-500 Range mostly for recreation. She is petite about 5’0” maybe 100 lbs. Just for going on bike trails mostly paved but she wants to be able to do some off roading too, but definitely want something that will provide a comfortable ride. Have been looking at Trek 7300’s and a few Specialized bikes. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My wife has the Trek. She really likes it. Seems to have decent parts for the level too. She even throws it on the trainer in the winter.

BTW, she's 5'2" and not much more weight wise. She does wear padded shorts and had to get used to riding again, but she likes the ride.
