It's time to restock the Cytomax supply and I was wondering what flavor you prefer? The ambiguous Cool Citrus flavor doesn't do it for me. The peach and grape are not too bad, but I don't think I can stomach trying to work through a full 4.5lb jug of either one. Maybe a 1.5lb jug of each and something else. The question is, what something else?
I've been using powdered Lemon-Lime Gatorade lately and it is WAY to tangy and sweet, even mixed at 1/2 strength. So something not so tangy is preferred. That seems to work best with my stomach in most situations.
Your choices for Cytomax flavors are:
Apple Berry
Cool Citrus
Grape
Peach
Tangy Orange
Tropical Fruit
Cranberry Grapefruit
Pink Lemonade

If you don't like tangy, go with the Tropical Fruit. It's like watered down fruit punch.
I personally like Go Grape. Tangy Orange is really good, but it stains the bottles (WTF can't they do something about that??).

Fruit Punch
Grape
Peach
I found the Apple-Berry horrible and had to mix it half and half with other flavors to make it palatable. It took forever to get through a 4.5 lb can.

I like the Cool Citrus in the summer when it is really hot outside. In cooler weather I like the Tropical Fruit and the Go Grape, with a slight edge to the Fruit. Did not care for the Apple Berry or Tangy Orange. I have not tried the others. Is Pink Lemonade new?
You might scan the catalogs. I found single serving packs somewhere one time and was able to try a few different flavors before ordering a big can.

I just rinse the bottles out with a little bit of bleach & water every week or two and that gets rid of the orange stains. A tablespoon of bleach in a bottle full of water is about right.

I rarely drink the stuff unless I'm doing a long ride when it is hot.
Anything cold is better than the hot stuff in a bottle. I just buy a quart of it and chug it and then fill up my water bottles with water at the quicky mart and get back on my way.
At races I prefer just plain water and then eat something solid like a granola bar, powerbar or fruit shortly before the race. Maybe a GU or something during if the race is over 45 minutes to an hour. My only can of sports drink powder (lemon-lime Gatoraid) is two years old and is still half full.

That makes the water that's in the bottle taste like bleach. That solution has been offered to me before to get mildew out of bottles, but I really don't want to drink anything out of a bottle that's had any amount of bleach in it. I'll either scrub the mildew out or toss the bottle. As for the orange stains, though, I just switched to a different kind of cytomax.
