Hi all,

I was curious if anyone has previously participated in the Rhode Island MS150?
http://www.nationalmssociety.org/rir/event/event_detail.asp?e=8670

There are several MS150's in New England and I wondered how the RI one was (i.e how well run, how much support, is the course scenic, is the course on good cycling roads, etc.).

I moved to Providence in October from Pittsburgh, where I participated in their MS150 the last 4 years (I formed a team for the last 3). The Pittsburgh MS150 (Escape to the Lake Erie) was exceptionally run with decent scenery. If the RI one is anything like Pittsburgh I will definately be participating.

Any input would be welcome.

Hi

I've ridden the RI MS 150 8 times. It's always a fun, well organized weekend. The volunteers are fantastic, with plenty of rest stops, snacks, supplies and fun. This years route sounds similar to last years, Tiverton RI thru south eastern Mass to U Mass Dartmouth and back. It's not a real challenging ride, but they do have a 100 mile option for Saturday. I'm riding the Massachusetts MS 150 which is the same weekend; that will go from Quincy Mass to Mass Maritime Academy in Bourne, (with a 100 mile option also) and then up to Provincetown on Sunday. Return to Quincy is by ferry boat or bus. Maybe we can hook up for some training rides IF spring time ever comes.
