Ken t5rguy 02-27-2005, 07:30 AM I don't own or ride a Woodrup, but I know a little bit about them. They are/were real craftsmen, based in Leeds. Since they built custom frames, there is a good chance the frame you're looking at is custom. So if it fits you, go for it. Other than geometry and size, one Reynolds 531 frame is much like any other. Here is a page of the 1994 Woodrup catalogue; they still used the 'Giro' name. As you can see, it can be built to your wishes. Racing or touring! I would love a classic English frame, if I bump into a 753 Woodrup (in my size of course) I won't hesitate. Hope this helps; BTW, Cyclingplus forums is more English orientated, maybe you'll find a Woodrup owner there. |
